Preferences – CITES Permits

AIMS allows you to produce fully completed UK or Irish CITES applications with just a few mouse clicks.

If your CITES authority allows you to submit paper or emailed applications please send us a copy of the application forms and we can add these to AIMS

These can be doe either individually or in bulk.

This tab allows you to set defaults for these applications

Add parents: If ticked and the birds parents details are in AIMS it will add them to the application.

Add A10: If the bird, and or it’s parents, A10 numbers are in AIMS they will be added to the application.

Include parent species in description: If ticked the parent species will be added to their description. This is untucked by default as the birds species will show what it’s parents are and also to save room in the description box on the application.

Default source code: The default source code for a specimen on the application.

Default Purpose: The default purpose code for the application.

Exporter or importer: For export permits select the name of the importer, for import permits select the name of the exporter. These come from your address book in AIMS.

This is used in bulk applications to fill in the importer or exporter details on the application.

This control is a F2 lookup and so it is easy to add or edit entries if needed from within the preference form.

You can reset this to a blank entry by using the button to the right hand side of it.

Default CITES permit application type: When creating a new application this will be the entry in the application type. You nee to set this to the correct one for bulk permits.
