What is AIMS

Aims provides a unique set of tools to manage you bird collections and incubation

Incubation

The incubation module in AIMS provides:

Quick selection of parents.
Enter the date the egg was laid and the aviary and AIMS fills the parents for you automatically.
Calculation of fresh weight using built in kw values.
AIMS has a built in databases of Kw values for a large number of species. These have bene built up from real fresh egg weights over the past 30 years.
When you enter your own eggs which are fresh it will build up female specific Kw values for you. The Kw database currently consists of data from XXXXX eggs.
Automatic selection of parents. Enter the date the egg was laid and the aviary it was laid in and AIMS fills the parents for you automatically.
Weight loss control.
For weighing eggs you simply enter the date and time and weight and AIMS calculates the weight loss that the egg will achieve at pip. It compensated for different times of weighing each day and calculated the result to the nearest minute.
Fast data entry for egg weight.
To enter the weight for a particular egg you simple right click on the egg in the egg control and type in the weight and press TAB.

Calculation of required humidity for egg
A unique feature of AIMS is that it will calculate the exact humidity you need to set your incubator to in order to archive the % loss as pip you want.
Weight loss graph.
AIMS will produce a weight loss graph if you want to see the loss more visually than displayed in the grid on the weight data entry page.
