This is a major release and has a number of updates and a lot of code improvements behind the scenes and we have enabled the Pro Version menu.
Copy and Paste sheet for A10 / CITES applications.
When applying online for your A10 / CITES applications you need to have all the information for the bird and it’s parents to hand.
Typing this data into the online form by hand can lead to typos.
Copy and paster takes care of this for you.
If you create bulk A10 applications in AIMS, as well as producing the normal PDF application files, it will also create a word compatible document that has all the information you need to just copy and paste into the online form, saving you time and potential errors in the data entered.
Taxonomy updates
This contains a major update of Taxonomy.
The one that most falcon breeders will notice is that the Barbary Falcon and Red napped shaheen are now classed as subspecies of Peregrines.
You don’t have to change anything as AIMS will take care of that for you.
CITES Species
We have added a new table containing details of CITES species.
For example a ¾ Gyr Saker hybrid under CITES is just a Gyr Saker Hybrid.
These will be used automatically in CITES and A10 applications.
Professional version
We have now implemented the Pro Menu.
This will be available to all users with a current support subscription.
We have implemented a new licensing mode. If after the update it says your support subscription has expired, just check for update from the file menu to update this from our support server.
The pro version menu includes:
Auto generate spreadsheet to go with CITES registered breeder application
If you are making your application to become a CITES registered breeder this allows you to produce UK CITES Registered Breeders spreadsheet at the click of a button.
This will automatically be generated form your data. You do not need to have Excel on your computer to do this as AIMS takes care of that for you.
List the birds you want to be CITES registered for.
You can enter the species you want to be CITES registered for. This will be used for the spreadsheet production, and later when you are registered it will determine the source code of your offspring automatically.
New ring format
We are working on automatically generating the new long ring format that UK CITES wants to implement. The menu for this is disabled at the moment as we have not quite finished this, but wanted to get the new version out so users can use the copy and paste A10 document at this busy time of year.
Other enhancements
Added a source code to the bird forms which record if you bird is source code C or D etc.
This information is used on CITES applications.
The update will fill these for you automatically, most will be filled a C, but some as D depending on the breeders ring on the bird.
A10 permits will have SSC or TSC coded added to them.
The update will mark them as SSC during the update process.
Please check if you have any TSC certificates and alter this as needed
Increased the maximum number of boxes for a shipment from 99 to 999 as we had one user shipping more than 100 birds per shipment in 2024.
The productivity form for a female now allows use of parent mode so you can open it from the bird form, select parent mode from the toolbar and then move through each bird and have the productivity page automatically update itself.
Egg density will now refresh properly when using Kw values.
Some tweaks on the egg form to improve usability.
Tweaked the right click on the egg form to add weights to get around an issue some users were seeing occasionally of being locked in the weight filed and unable to enter a weight.
Fixes an issue when viewing eggs by last weighted which caused an error in some circumstances.
Also fixed an isse with batch movement of eggs in 9.5.3
